Pulse Juniors is one of the largest and most successful kids' running squads in NSW. Many of our kids hold current State and National records. To make sure the kids are training with others at the same level and working towards similar goals, our kids are split into groups. All squads meet at the Pulse Performance lab on Lilyfield Road.
Squad days are:
Mondays and Wednesdays 5pm ( Development and Performance squads)
Tuesdays and Thursdays 430pm ( Development squads)
Tuesdays and Thursdays 5pm ( Performance/ State/National athletes only)
Due to high demand, kids wanting to join Pulse Juniors must first qualify in a one-on-one session with Head Coach Dani. Dani will be looking for the right levels of fitness, motivation and enthusiasm needed to become a Pulsie. To enquire or book a session with Coach Dani, email firstname.lastname@example.org
Our kids train hard, smart and push themselves but they also have a lot of fun!
The Pulse kids squad has a reputation for consistently delivering awesome results - often setting new records and smashing their PBs. And they always do it with a smile and are quick to congratulate and support their fellow squad members and other competitors.
*New kids' squad starting soon in Glenbrook*
The Glenbrook squad will be for kids aged 8-16 years of all levels. Squads will be held Monday and Wednesday afternoons, times to be confirmed. If you'd like to find out more or are interested in registering for the squad, email us at email@example.com
Pulse Junior Angus has consistently delivered awesome results since he started training with Coach Dani at nine years old.
Like the talented and hardworking superstar that he is, Angus most recently won three state titles over three days at the State Little Athletics Championships. On day one he won the 3km in 9:15:63 then on day two it was the 1500m in 2:00:24 and finally on the third day he took the 800m in 4:06:43.
He gave a sensational performance at the GPS Athletic Championships in May 2016, winning three gold medals for the 400m, 800m and 1500m events. Angus also smashed two of his previous GPS records, finishing the 400m in just 56 seconds and the 800m in a time of 2 minutes 5 seconds.
At the 2016 NSW State Athletic Championships in October, Angus did the double by winning both the 800m and 1500m titles in new best times 1:58 and 4:10. At Nationals in December, Angus smashed the 800m, setting a new record time.
In 2015, Angus became the All Schools National Champion for the 800m and 1500m events, and Cross Country National Champion. Watch this space for even more stunning results next year!
Josh is a new Pulse Junior, having joined the squad just over 12 months ago but he has already posted some awesome results. Most recently, at the 2017 State Little Athletics Championships held in March, Josh took two State titles for the 800m and 1500m (Under 10s) events.
It's going to be a big year for Josh with the chance to make his first National All Schools Cross Country.
In 2016, Josh came 1st in Zone, Regionals and State School Cross Country Championships (Under 10s) and placed 2nd in the 800m NSW State All Schools Athletics Championships (Under 10s).
He also won and set new records for the 1500m and 800m in the Little Athletics Zone Championships (Under 10s).
Earlier in the year, Josh won the 800m at both the Little Athletics State and Regional Championships (Under 9s).
Angie Le Roux
Angie won three State titles in the 400m, 800m and 1500m (Under 9s) events at the 2017 State Little Athletics Championships held in March.
Luke and Jayden Schofield
Pulse Juniors Luke and Jayden have been Pulsies since they were 10 years old and every year they get stronger.
This year will see both the boys compete in more triathlon events; in March they represented Pulse Tri Club at the NSW Club Championships held in Orange and finished in fourth and fifth place against adult competitors in the Under 30s category.
In 2016, they both were on the podium at the NSW State All Schools Cross Country Championships and smashed out new PBs at both the CHS State Athletic Championships and GPS Championships.
